The Curious Goat @ Damansara Perdana, PJ

Among all the cafes, its interesting that The Curious Goat is named after the Kaldi legend, where coffee is believed to have originated from the Ethiopian highlands.

Its such a ideal work environment where one can work with their friends, and lucky them, The Curious Goat is run by 3 friends who were trained at Coffee Societe. A relaxed atmosphere was almost apparent when I stepped in to this cafe, and I liked it that they used industrial style cafe concept, where they used mainly wooden tables. A contrast of wall colors was used, where on one side is white, and black on the other.

The Curious Goat used Toraja coffee which is grown in Indonesia's Sulawesi region of Tana Taroja Highland, which is coffee that carries walnut and caramel-like sweetness, completed with hints of fruit and layer of dark chocolate. The coffee beans are of top grade, with 100% Arabica beans, which tight quality control implemented to the beans. The beans are roasted locally by Sprezzatura.

I ordered their Honey Latte. The coffee taste does carried a light hint of fruits, with a light density of coffee.  Despite the coffee has a good balance of sweetness that came from honey, I still feel that coffee is best tasted without any additional flavoring.

My friend ordered their Honey Lemon. This is a common drink that doesn't require much explanation on, however, yes, they are generous with their usage of lemon. True sourness that will open up one's appetite, for sure.

We ordered a slice of tiramisu for sharing. Layers of sponge cakes filled and frosted with lots of creamy cheese, and topped with caramelized nut, it is a good choice for us. The wetness of the sponge cake was just nice. Definitely satisfied our craving for dessert. I trust that this cake taste could be alleviated further with more usage of coffee within the sponge cake.

Apart from coffee and cakes, The Curious Goat also offer light pasta dishes.
