Garrett Popcorn @ 1 Utama, Bandar Utama

I can't remember when was the last I had the feeling of 'love at first bite'..
Had saw a long queue queing for Garrett's popcorn at KLCC some time back, but this time when I saw the same at 1-Utama, I just had to try it.

But somehow I couldn't figure out the pricing much, but hey, how much would a pack of popcorn cost.
And when it was my turn, my eyes was set on Caramel flavor, and requested for the Caramel Popcorn mixed with Macadamia.
Took the medium pack, and at cashier counter, I paid RM36 (without nuts is RM21).

Ouch, if given time to think about it, ain't sure if I would paid this much for popcorn. But after I took 1 bite of the popcorn, I felt, wow! It's really worth the money spent.

Each of the popcorn is quoted well with the caramel, and there are just loads of macadamia inside. Since buying raw macadamia isn't cheap, so the price came to very well worth it.
Crunchiness to the max, and super fresh!

I'm now at a phase that I cut down on 'fattening' food, but when the time comes, I surely want to indulge in Garrett's popcorn again.

Saffron @ Sri Hartamas, KL

Past few weeks, I've had craving for  Indian restaurant that I frequented more than 10 years ago... Oh, why haven't I been there for so long?

Heading to the neighbourhood the other day, took the chance to visit Saffron for lunch.

Saffron is a family business, serving Northern Indian dishes.

The boss is looking not any less passionate as I last saw him, and upon checking with him, they have now been opened for 19 years... What a record! since nowadays we see many F&B open and close over a short span of operation.

Simple and cosy setting
Checked the ala-carte menu, but saw the option for Set Lunch which is highly recommended...You get a portion of meat, vege, bread or rice plus yoghurt salad. What else could we ask for, at the price of RM12.90 which offers you good quality food.

Set Lunch options
For the set lunch, we get smaller portion vs if we were to order them ala carte, but the portion given as part of set lunch isn't too little as well. So, worth it!

For the 1st set, we opted for 'Butter Chicken', which is boneless chicken cubes braised in creamy almond and butter sauce, accompanied by 'Maharaja Baingen' which is eggplant spiced with garam masala. They both taste very rich in flavor. I have always loved their 'Bahtura', which is Saffron's specialty.. It's fluffy naan like bread, but this texture carries a slight crispiness and thin.

Set Lunch 1
As fr the second set lunch, we opted for 'Saffron Mirch Murgh', which is chicken and potatoes in spicy curry, flavored with dried chilli and curry leaves, "Sang Aloo' which is home-style potatoes cooked with lightly spiced spinach and "Bhatura".
Set Lunch 2
Overall the food in Saffron has just the right balance in flavor, spiciness and for those who appreciate spices, they will surely love the food served here.

Exhibit Cafe @ Taman Tun, KL

For the past few times, as I was in search of place to go, I will just surf the net, and search for 'nice cafe in xxxx' and this time, I was in search for nice cafe at Taman Tun. , and the post by Eat Drink KL pops up... From his post, I saw this really nice cafe, with simplicity in its interior, that exudes home comfort.

Nailed... Exhibit Cafe, here I come.

This is as I was walking up the stairs of Exhibit Cafe.

I was focusing my eye on the simple welcoming corner

Once entered, a look to the right... the wash basin and mirror makes me feel like I'm in IKEA. :)

To the cleanliness, thumbs up
When we arrived, its pretty quiet during dinner time on Saturday, but soon after, few more tables was occupied.

Spacious
Each piece of table and chairs are unique on its own, and customer may choose what mood he/she would like, and choose their most ideal seating or table to suit them.. Hehe..
For those who interested to purchase, one could also do so. Just check with the owner.
Each piece of furniture has its own story, which selection is from the mid-century. Some designs of the furniture existed way before I was born.

Nice two seater facing the window view

Over the inner corner

More options of seating

A look towards the back
Some seating may be more suitable for drinks, than to have a meal as the table size and shape may not be too appropriate..
Spot the cute little table
Nice homemade cookies and drink
Exhibit specialize in hand drip coffee, however, both me and Connie wasn't up for coffee that evening.
And for the particular weekend we were there, only 2 food item were available, hmm.. no choice may be a good thing, as we need not decide on anything. Hehe..

From its sandwich & soup set, the option we had was Veggie Sandwich and the clam chowder. With this set, we had a choice of drink at RM5, instead of the original price of RM8 (actual price - TBC).

Raspberry Drink

Just check out how healthy our meal was...  Maybe I'm used to a little feasting especially on weekend, so this is a nice change.

The baguette are partially made in France whereby its frozen dough is flown in to the owner, and they are baked freshly at Exhibit.

The veggie sandwich and clam chowder set. Price-RM23

The baguette has the hard texture on the outside, with softness inside. Inside was pure vege, tomato. Healthy stuff!
I must say that this clam chowder wasn't quite like I expected but I must say, it does taste good, with the freshness of clams and chunks of potato that came with it. Natural sweetness !

Clam Chowder Soup
A new item on Exhibit's menu is the Chicken Thigh saute with homemade fresh tomato sauce, served with salad. Chicken cooked to perfection, and as long as sauce its not those that comes from can, it has to taste good.

We shared both the above meal, and not long after meal, we surely can have another bowl of noodle. We are female big eater or what?

Chicken Thigh. Price - RM25
Exhibit does serve a decent selection of cake, but we just felt though the price is reasonable, the portion was way too small, that doesn't seem to entice us enough that particular evening.

For sure, I'll come back during an afternoon to enjoy a cup of coffee over nice chat with friends.

Restaurant Spring Garden @ Shah Alam

What's with my craving lately? This morning after delivering my cupcakes order, my craving signals 'char siu'. However, I totally forgot which turning to take, and thankfully there is "WAZE" that directed me.

Alright! I found it..  They have good flow of customers at around 11am.

The wan tan noodle truly is 1 of the best I've tried.. chewy texture in every bite, with just the right taste..
Oh the pork doesn't need more introduction, as it has just the right fat level, and the edges comes with slight chewiness, and absolutely fragrant from its marination. Superb.

A set of this wan tan mee priced at RM6.70 and this same price applies to its char siu rice.

Starbucks @ Setia Alam, Shah Alam

Enjoyment of my weekend...

I am fond of my time alone spent at Starbucks outlet at Setia Alam. I love the look of this Starbucks outlet, with my most favorite Starbucks outlet being the 1 at Cameron Highland.
This outlet happened to be the 1st drive through Starbucks outlet in Klang Valley.
Each time I enter this Starbucks, an extremely relaxed feeling gushed through me...  Being 1 of the first during the morning, its like I almost have the outlet to my own.. hehe.

They are currently having the latest promo of Asian Dolce Latte, which is ending in a week's time... It has a coffee flavor not too strong, and complemented well with taste that comes from the Dolce syrup.

For those who frequent Starbucks, having a Starbucks tumbler is worth the investment in 1, as each of your drink will get a RM2 discount, which works out to about close to about 15% off (depending on size that you order).

Yummy Asian Dolce Latte from Starbucks... Price : RM14 (regular price of their Grande size)

The below pictures speaks of how cosy this Starbucks outlet is..

Ought to credit the friendly staff, which attends to customer promptly, and with their friendly service.
