Introduction from the blogger :
I have invited my nieces to depict my 'Big Fish Moment' experience, and I am hereby presenting the 'Big Fish Moment with Pizza Hut' starring Qi and Yao.
Qi : "Boy, I slept till almost noon today, and my stomach is growling"
Qi : "Sis, what should we eat today?"
Yao : "My craving just kicked in .. I want Fisshhhh!"
Qi :"Alright, let's wake up, get changed, and follow me"
After their bath, Qi took Yao to the kitchen.
Qi :"Let's cook ourselves.. Could you lend me a hand. I see mom do this all the time. Looks real easy"
Yao : "Ok! If you say so"
After minutes of attempt, Qi gave up. Feeling extremely hungry and disappointed, Yao can't help but to cry out aloud.
Being the loving elder sis, Qi gently pat Yao's face, in hope to pacify her.
Qi : "My dearest sister.. you don't need to react so greatly over a meal"
Yao cried even louder after hearing what Qi had to say.
Yao : "Today is jut not my day... Go away, go away!"
After failing several attempts, Qi maintained her coolness, and suddenly, a thought came to her mind. A standee outside Pizza Hut which she saw from Pizza Hut @ Subang Parade last week, that also spells 'F-I-S-H' and not just that, it's 'F-I-S-H K-I-N-G'.
Qi got a driver to bring the both of them to THE place... Pizza Hut outlet at Taman Sentosa, Klang.
From the standee, Qi remembered the 'talent' caught some cute fishes using fishing rod, and she would also like to attempt and demonstrate to Yao, how catching using fish net is like.
At her first attempt, oooppppsss... failed.. Caught Yao in the net.
Yao : "Hey, sis.. Why did you catch me"
Qi : "I don't mean to, but you do look cute in it". "Let me try one more time"
During the 2nd attempt, not sure how Qi did it, but she was also caught within.
The 2 girls struggled, without help from any passerby.
Qi : "Yao, stop smiling, and help us get out of here!"
Yao : "Don't blame me, it's all your fault wanting to demonstrate catching fish using this fish net"
After much drama outside, the girls finally get to step inside Pizza Hut.
This is such a big Pizza Hut outlet, and it is even connected to KFC. Spacious with holding capacity of up to 2 floors, this is really a popular dining place for people around this neighbourhood. With its interior using much of brown color, and the right kind of lighting, it just added to the the cosy-ness feeling.
When Qi spotted this traymat on the table, she immediately shouted out "THIS IS IT!!" "The pizza that the fisherman on standee was holding".
Been thought to be a prudent kid, Qi immediately did the comparison :
Fish King Set 1 (recommended for 2 persons)
1 Regular Fish King Pizza
2 Soup of the Day
4 pcs Garlic Breadstick
2 glasses of Pepsi
Price - RM28.00
Fish King Set 2 (recommended for 4 persons)
1 Large Fish King Pizza
4 Soup of the Day
4 pcs Garlic Breadstick
1 pitcher of Pepsi
Price - RM49.00
Wow, the above deal is definitely 'Big On Fish! Bigger On Value'... However, since there were only the 2 of them, and after much discussion, they would like to consider the a'la carte menu :
RM23.90 for Regular Pizza, and RM32.90 for Large Pizza.Wanting to pack home some, they opted for the Large Pizza.
Qi and Yao : "Now that we have ordered, we are on stand-by mode to eat"
When the Fish King Pizza was served, they put on their 'spotlight' eyes by making their eyes go bigger, so that they can see clearly the extremely yummy looking serving of pizza.
Qi : "Mamamia!! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 fish fingers"
Yao : "I'm going to eat 2, sis 2, and we can pack back the rest"
It would be difficult for one to resist this 'biggest catch', the latest introduction by Pizza Hut, the Fish King Pizza. Served piping hot, it is loaded with 8 fish fingers made from specially-imported Alaskan Pollock, crabsticks, Mozzarella cheese, roasted capsicums, yellow onions and juicy pineapples, on all a cool lime mayo sauce that simply spells 'REFRESHING'. A pizza serving so compact with ingredients, and Alaskan Pollock being said to be "the largest remaining source of palatable fish in this world" truly depicts its tagline of 'Big On Fish! Bigger On Value'.
How can one not drool over the cheesiness of the Mozzarella cheese that gives the chewy and stringy effect as it melts.
After just 1 bite of the pizza, Qi and Yao can't resist but to give a thumbs-up.
Qi took each bite of the pizza with full satisfaction. All ingredients in this Fish King Pizza complimented each other so well, and the tender on the inside and yet crispy on the outside of Alaskan Pollock fish was Qi's favorite.
Yao on the other hand, being a cheese lover, just love it when she saw the string of cheese when she pulled the pizza away after her bite.
Minutes later, Yao, seeing Qi almost finished up her share of pizza, quickly held her pizza really tight.. Just in case....... She too, enjoyed each bite of this supreme flavour Fish King Pizza, and with the cheesiness, truly a plus point.
After finishing their share of pizza, the 2 girls can't wait to head home, and share the delicious pizza with their family. While leaving Pizza Hut, Yao noticed someone was looking at them.
Yao : "Sis, I think someone is looking at us"
Qi : "Don't be afraid. I'm here to protect you. Let's find out what they want"
After clarifying, they were actually asked if they'd like to be the 'model' for Maybankard and American Express credit card. And so, they happily agreed, and posed for it.
Offered exclusively for Maybankard and American Express card members, a discount of 30% is extended for Fish King Pizza a'la carte pizza order, for dine-in and take-away only.
What a deal! Not just the Fish King Pizza is Big On Fish! Bigger On Value! and now, an additional perk to sweetened the entire deal....What other way to conclude that 'The Deal Just Gets Better. Only at Pizza Hut. Specially for Fish King Pizza Lovers'.
Acknowledgement from the blogger :
The entire 'Big Fish Moment with Pizza Hut' has been "produced" just as how I wanted it to be. Much credit is to be given to
- the 2 "professional" models - Qi and Yao, for their hard work (though it wasn't that hard as they truly enjoyed every bite of the pizza)
- the mom of the 2 models - Wen, for her support in her daughters' love for 'modelling' cum 'acting'
- the photographer - Fei, and also for his valuable input
A big Thank You for making this 'Big Fish Moment with Pizza Hut' possible.

Kedai Makanan Seremban @ Seremban
Just last Saturday alone, my car had traveled about 240km +/-, heading from Klang to KL to Seremban to Ampang and back to Klang. Phew!
Craving that Vincent had, had us travel all the way to Seremban for the BBQ crab.
Not being able to recognize which was the right restaurant, we ended at the restaurant with a big crab sign, and upon seated, was told they ran out of crabs.. What a disappointment, we thought at first. We were all delighted when we spotted the right restaurant further down the road, filled with customers, with up to 3 tour buses outside.
We were all set to just have crab the other night, however ordered 1 plate of vermicelli as something else to filled up our stomach... And this was one of the best tasting vermicelli I've tried. Fried simply with egg, lettuce, onion, beansprout, red chilli and clams, this plate of noodles really has the right taste of 'wok hei' which is the flavour, taste and "essence" imparted by the hot work during process of stir frying.
It was this bowl of concoction that kept us 'occupied' while waiting for the food to be served. Not forgetting to mention, despite the big crowd, the vermicelli was served 10mins after our order, and next 5 mins was our butter crab, and the 'hero' dish, BBQ crab, in the following 5 mins. Impressive..
And back to this concoction, it tasted so good, slight sourish taste, not too spicy, combined parsley, garlic and chilli, and has this little tinge of lime taste. We dipped it with the crackers served before dinner. This also taste good with the crab.
Ready, get set, go...... for the crabs.
The crabs whether small or big size cost RM48 per kg, and min order is 2 crabs, per order. This first was that was served was the butter crab. The crab was really fresh, but felt that it doesn't carry enough 'buttery' taste.
This 2 nicely positioned BBQ crab was absolutely pleasing to taste. Licked the sauce and boy, it has such fragrant taste - slightly burnt taste, with slight saltiness of the sauce, I'm almost out of words to described how good the crab was. Coupled with the thick flesh from this extremely fresh crab, this trip all the way to Seremban was absolutely worth it.
With the 4 crabs, and a plate of vermicelli for dinner, we had to struggle a little to finish off everything. But to the end, we managed well.
Direction to Seremban Seafood Village.

Restoran Pu Yuan @ Old Klang Road, KL
My last visit to Pu Yuan was 5 years ago, and my sis suggested coming here for dinner, on the way home from Bukit Tinggi. If one is coming from KL to Old Klang road, look out Choong Wen Chinese School just before the post office. Turn in there, and one should spot the restaurant on the left hand side of the 1st alley.
One may mistaken by the outlook of Pu Yan, as it isn't really visible as a restaurant, for its door is shut all the time. Open up and one will find a typical old Chinese restaurant.
We ordered the sweet potato noodle. Its tasty, and fried with lotsa of cabbage, and pork slices. Not many other restaurant serve this, and despite it having a slight slimy feeling, and feels a little like black fungus , this tasted good.
The other noodle that Pu Yuan is famous for is the fried rice stick. Not many place cook the rice stick well. If not soaked long enough, this will in fact turn out to be 'hard' tasting noodle. The rice stick has an elasticity feel, and was smooth. It was fried with lots of cabbage and pork slices, and topped with fried shallot and spring opinion.
We also had the stew pork, and it was really tender. They also provided a type of 'rice cake' to dipped with the sauce.
The chicken breast meat coated with oat, was fried till real crispy, and has a nice aroma that came with it.

Restoran Yu Kan/Kolam Ikan @ Bentong, Pahang
Got lost when trying to look for this restaurant last week. Once one saw the BHP on the far right, on the road heading to Bentong, one has to quickly look out for a turning on the left hand side, to get into this area. We went on straight, for a ride, and had to U-turn back.
Pacino being a Bentong boy recommended me Restoran Yu Kan. And were relief, when spotted this restaurant, directly opposite BHP.
We badly needed to fill our stomach by the time we were seated.
The 'young' watercress vege known as 1 of the oldest known leaf vege consumed by human beings were stir fried with garlic, and it was real crunchy to bite.
After a search from 'Wikipedia', found that watercress claims many benefits which acts as stimulant, source of phythochemicals, antioxidants, digestive, and cancer suppressing properties, among others.
This thinly sliced pork was fried till extremely hard and crunchy. Coated with honey, it added much flavor to the pork. Real fragrant, but I still prefer the one served at Chuan Kie at Goh Tong Jaya. My earlier post of the same dish ordered.
We also ordered the mushroom with fish paste. This was a clear plate of vege, but we didn't really liked this, due to the slight bitterness in the mushroom.

Colorful motorcycle color parked outside 'Yu Kan'. Special color effect, thanks to I-Phone's 'Camera Bag'

Lady boss taking order, while we posed for the camera
Having pond behind the restaurant area, Yu Kan is known for its fresh talapia fish. We opted for the claypot fish. It was piping hot when served, and true to what its known for, it was really fresh, and came with thick fragrant gravy.Steamed Claypot Talapia Fish. Price-RM26
We also liked the homemade beancurd topped with lots of minced pork. Slight crispiness on the outside, this homemade beancurd came in a whole big piece.

Though the overall food was alright, it doesn't garner one to travel all the way for its food. And since this was a stop we made on the way to Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi, it wasn't too bad la...On the contrary, we felt that we have made a little too much effort to get to Colmar Tropicale, and having to pay RM12 for entrance fee per adult, it wasn't that worth it after all, as really 'with one eye you see it all'.. ie. really nothing much to do there.

Mama Sayang @ Off Jalan Klang Lama, KL
Mother's Love being a direct translation of the restaurant name - Mama Sayang has long been on my list of restaurant to try. Shereen highly recommended this restaurant to me, saying that, even vegetarian food can taste as good - and Mama Sayang has been known with its vegetarian food in Nyonya style.
Speaking of last minute, me and a friend decided to change to this venue at the junction just before turning in to this restaurant. ^-^
As I stepped in, I immediately liked the cosy-ness of the entire setting of the restaurant, and a point to note, was the cleanliness, and the prompt service rendered by the staffs.
We ordered 2 dishes that night - the homemade beancurd that was cooked together with mushroom, wolfberry, white fungus, carrot and vege. We loved the combination of ingredients, that was used. Overall , we had a combination of smooth, soft and crunchy from this 1 plate - from the smoothness of the beancurd texture, crunchy white fungus, mushroom that were cooked till soft, crunchy carrot, and crunchy vege. Yummy!
The must try nyonya dish is the nyonya prawns. Came in a little wok with litted candle underneath, this dish was keep warm throughout, and the vegetarian prawn that was cooked together with cabbage and curry leaves tasted really good. The sambal used made this dish really aromatic, and we took ample gravy to go with our rice.
A bowl of ABC for sharing before we leave. Swept clean - it has lots of ingredients within this bowl, and just the right level of sweetness.
Mama Sayang is part of the vegetarian chain which also own Nanking Court.
