Movie Review : The Choice

I have been spending substantial time on movies lately, and I thought why not share my thoughts on the movie I've watched. So, here's my first attempt of my thoughts about the movie I've watched, but I do not intend to review it like how the professionals do. Hehe..

Produced in 2016

The beautiful home

Storyline focused on Gabby (Teresa Palmer) whom moved to a new neighbourhood at Beaufort, North Carolina, and her neighbour is Travis (Benjamin Walker) who worked as a vet. From their initial interaction which started in an agitated manner, due to noise caused by friends that came by Travis home, it eventually blossomed to a friendship, thanks to Gabby's dog that gave birth to some puppies, and she had to knock on his door one night to see him came down shirt-less. Hehe..

Such romantic scene

Please avoid alcohol if you want to avoid 'mistake' to end your night

Both had their boyfriend and girlfriend at first, and one night, during a dinner at Gabby's home, she blurp out her slight interest on him, and this signals the two of them to initiate sex. The next day, Gabby's present boyfriend informed that he will back from outstation.. Oooh ohhh...

Gabby then decided to cut it off with Travis, and Gabby shared with her boyfriend on what happened. The boyfriend decided to end the relationship, but proposed to her the very next day, and asked for a new start with her. They decided to get married.

Travis was sad, but soon realized that Gabby is her true love, thus went to 'fight' for the bride and somehow he won. So, life indeed is about making choices, as to whether to pursue what you feel is right, despite being the third party. "Seriously?"

Gabby denied she loved him too, but to the end, agreed to marry Travis

Anyway, since the lead role are Travis and Gabby, they soon lived happily and had 2 children together. Love the scene of the movie, where they lived just by the lake, and watched the stars during night time.

One one rainy night, they were supposed to go on dinner date, but Travis was caught up late working. Gabby decided to leave the restaurant, and met with an accident. Got into coma thereafter. It's a miracle that Gabby woke up from her coma, and they truly then lived happily ever after.

Verdict :
Sweet romance story, despite not too intense.

Learnings :  1. True love despite tough to find, does happen. It's about following your gutfeel and making the choice to pursue what it takes.
2. Don't always trust the girl when they say "I don't love you", and upon some persuasion, she will end up saying "I will marry you".
