Kozee @ Taman Tun

I frequent Kozee quite a lot in the past. Apparently the cook has worked in restaurants in overseas, and the husband and wife team has now opened this restaurant. Kozee is located just few blocks away from Maxis Centre at Taman Tun.

The variety of food served here is a little different from what I find in other restaurants, and so far, none of the item from the menu I ordered has failed me. All seems to be tasty enough, and just right to my taste.

The sweet and sour chicken - really crispy, and this is 1 of my favourite.

'Kozee' Rice with Sweet & Sour Chicken. Price-RM8.90

This meehoon is cooked with special gravy, and is light enough, when you want to be on diet..

'Kozee' Fried Meehoon with Fish Cake. Price-RM8.90

The udon noodle, cooked with black pepper.

Simple food @ Pandamaran, Klang

My family & I loves coming to this place at Pandamaran for our breakfast. This family business operates at the front of their home, and mainly cooked by the mom, assisted by her daughters. The noodles served here are really delicious (though at times, may be a little salty) but most of all, the meals here are really worth it.

Tapioca Noodle

Cantonese Kuey Teow & Meehoon

Of all, I love the curry mee served here. It really taste like what I used to have while I was schooling. They are generous with their bean sprout, char siew, cockles, dried taufoopok and fish cake.

Claypot curry mee

Just like eating in kampung

This is how it look from the outside

The kitchen

The location of this restaurant is after passing Pandamaran B School on the right, just go straight, and there is a bigger building on the right, where there is a road with no entry sign. To turn in at the road right after this, and you will see the makan place on the right.

Total bill only came up to RM13.50 for the claypot curry mee, tapioca noodle, cantonese fried noodle and 2 glass of drinks.
One of their other specialty is the fried mee hoon kuey.

Kissaten @ Jaya One, PJ

Met up with Jimmy, an ex-colleague during my LB days. Suggested to have dinner at Kissaten - kinda like the overall ambience - simple and clean deco, and some quite different variety of food served.

Me & Jimmy, before digging in

This is one of its must-try pizza, made with char siew, topped with spring onion. Its quite a well combination, with pizza, and the mayonnaise taste good too. But felt the mayonnaise is a little overloaded.

Char Siew pizza. Price-RM22.90

This tasted a little like Salted Pork Belly, but it was punched on receipt as Roasted Chicken Spaghetti with Cream, which was what we ordered. We are that bad that we somewhat doesn't feel that the meat we had were chicken. Whatever it is, we enjoyed the spaghetti. Thickness of the cream is just nice.

Salted Pork Belly Spaghetti. Price-RM15.90

For coffee lovers, Illy coffee is also served here.

Fong Keow @ Taman Rashna

There are just too many bah kut teh in Klang, and Taman Rashna is one of the more popular area known by those residing in other parts of Klang Valley. For those who stays outside Klang, this is the nearest area to get to, as its not far on the left, after exiting the toll near Bukit Raja.

Tried out Restoran Fong Keow by accident (remembered wrong by friend). Not too bad afterall, and at least its air-conditioned.

Outside of the restaurant

The interior was done with a little jungle feel. And for those who sweats non-stop eating at those non-air conditioned restaurant, this is something for a change.

Inside of the restaurant

The claypot bah kut teh, and the soup has more 'medicine' taste in it. Feels like more 'liu' has been put to cook this.

The claypot bah kut teh.Price-RM10 per head's portion

Apart from bah kut teh, it also served various other dishes.

This restaurant readily supply yau char keow at RM1.50 per plate. Can't even finish.

All in all, this meal for 2 person cost us RM24. We were charged RM0.50 for using their hot water, as we brought our own tea. ;)

Famous Hokkien Noodle @ Aik Yuen, behind Tawakal

Last week, my buddy, Audrey, took me here, since Vincent who came from Singapore was craving for Aik Yuen's hokkien mee. This restaurant is really popular for its hokkien mee, and its a corner shop located behind Tawakal Hospital.

This restaurant is really quite packed with people, and after tasting the food, I would have expected a bigger crowd actually.

The cooking takes place outside, opposite this restaurant

After tasting the hokkien mee in Bagan, this is by far much more tastier - and of course the crispy pork lard helps in makes it even more 'yummy-licious'. The hokkien mee is actually cooked using charcoal, somehow makes it even tastier.

Hokkien noodle. Price-RM15

Ordered the lala, and seems to us that there is only 1 cooking style. The sauce is not too spicy, and with a little sour-ish taste. And this style of cooking is different from what I used to have, whereby it's usually done steam with wine, or kam heong.

Lala. Price-RM16

From the many fish cakes I've tried, this is by far the best. The texture is just right. And we can feel the freshness of fish that is used to make this fish cake.

Fish cake. Price-RM8

Yau Mak. Fresh! Price-RM6

Sambal sauce to go with the hokkien noodle

Cili Padi

This is a really satisfactory dinner, and we 'sapu' all dishes that we ordered.

Unfortunately, did not got hold of the address and contact for this one.
Food served here is non-halal.

Bah Kut Teh @ Ah Meng, Taman Sentosa Klang

Though I stay in Klang, town famous for bah kut teh, I do not take bah kut teh regularly. There will be a period that I feel like having bah kut teh way so often, and certain period, not at all.

This is one of the bah kut teh place that my family go real often, as its at Taman Sentosa, which is near to where I used to stay.

Ah Meng Bah Kut Teh only serve bah kut teh in claypot. The taste of it the bah kut teh soup is rather mild for Klang bah kut teh standard which is famous for thickness in the soup.

The claypot bah kut teh - ordered the 'suay-kuk' - flesh from the small bone of the pig, and it also comes with button mushroom, taufoopok, and 'fu-pei'.

Claypot bah kut teh

I just love the rice

Inside the restaurant

Cili padi that goes really well with the bah kut teh.

Cili padi

I come here so often, that somehow, I forgot to take its address for blogging purpose, but for those that are familiar with Taman Sentosa, this restaurant is just behind KFC. And the bill for 2 person came up to RM20.

Seafood @ Port Village, Bagan

Went to Port Village at Bagan for dinner last week. For friends that come to Klang from other parts of Klang Valley, I would usually bring them to Bagan for dinner, as its at least different from what they find in KL/PJ. Restaurants here offer dining with sea view ;)

Posing myself

Port Village is usually packed with customers, but since I was early ....

The restaurant

The 'live' seafood

The mantis shrimp - while still alive

The crab tasted so so only.....was contemplating if I should take seafood, after controlling myself, since I had my cyst growth in Jan. Made an exception, this round.

Marmite Crab. Price-RM36 per kg (1kg-2 crabs)

The mantis shrimp is one of my favourite. This is the salted fried style. Taste really good. It can also be steamed.

Mantis Shrimp. Price-RM6 each x 5 (min order) = RM20

The hokkien mee and the lala tasted so so only, but since I was really hungry, wack only le.

Hokkien Mee. Price-RM6

Lala. Price-RM12

Seems to me the overall taste of the food isn't as good as when I was last here. There are of course a lot more better tasting food in Klang.

3A Yong Tau Foo & Cheong Fun @ PJ

My colleague, Kelly introduced me to this restaurant. It is located near the SCJP roundabout, doors away from Greenview. 3A serve one of the better tasting yong tau foo & cheong fun. For this round, I skipped the cheong fun, and took the noodle soup, which taste equally good. They offer quite generous amount of fish cake, fishball and bean sprout.

Noodle Soup.Price-RM4.80

Fried Yau Char Kuey.Price-RM1 per pc

Combination of other yong tau foo item. Price-RM1 per pc

Though I do not see a Halal logo, but I do see quite a number of Malays that patronize this restaurant.

Beautiful Walnut & Carrot cake

During one of the CNY gathering, ordered a cake in celebration to my ex-colleague's birthday. This cake is baked by another ex-colleague from LB, Ivy Boucher. She bakes from home, thus collection of cake (from Bangsar) is required. However, its all worth it, as she could really decorate the cake beautifully (design can also be personalized) and she charges a real reasonable price.

Beautifully decorated cake

Just look at how yummy the cake is

Zen Japanese Restaurant @ Sunway Pyramid

Met up with Keng during her CNY trip back to Malaysia, thus invited our dear old friend, Mr Ong out for lunch.

So far, Zen Japanese restaurant has not once failed me, by serving one of the best Japanese food, at reasonable price.
