Butter & Beans at OUG @ Taman OUG, KL

Spanning from its famed Butter & Beans outlet at Section 17, those outside PJ area would be pleased with the opening of this franchised outlet at Taman OUG. 

Having visited them during CNY, their consistent walk-in of crowds shows that they are in fact very popular among the neighborhood.

I'm a sucker for interior and I was very pleased with the size of this outlet and the more modern feel yet holds a raw effect. For those who are in a laid back mood, there are seatings available with cushions too.

Inviting atmosphere 

Asked for recommendation of cakes, the owner strong recommended the Almond Salted Caramel Mille Crepes. I love the crunchy almond flakes coated with salted caramel on top of the cake. Somehow, salted caramel does add on much flavor to almost any food, be it cake, or drinks. It was indeed a generous portion, and as for the milled crepe, the texture was just right, (as I've tried some that was way too soft). I also tasted the richness of the creamy whipped cream, and with it being layered with the crepe, it gave a light feeling, to balance the creaminess. 
This was indeed a good choice, as it was not overly sweet, and the mille crepe light sweetness balanced well with the sweetness from the caramelized salted caramel. 
Mille crepe is a cake that requires much time and effort to complete, thus, I felt that its really worth the money paid.

Their coffee uses beans supplied from Butter & Beans where good quality beans were sourced around the world, and roasted locally. Was told by the owner that despite quality of coffee ought to be good, their other reason for their existence was mainly to offer a nice cosy hangout place amongst the neighbourhood. 

My cappuccino carried good amount of milk, yet doesn't dilute the thickness of the coffee. Their barista has nice latte art skills too. 

As for portion wise, a really fair portion at the price of RM10 for my cup of Cappuccino.
