Starbucks @ Setia Alam, Shah Alam

Enjoyment of my weekend...

I am fond of my time alone spent at Starbucks outlet at Setia Alam. I love the look of this Starbucks outlet, with my most favorite Starbucks outlet being the 1 at Cameron Highland.
This outlet happened to be the 1st drive through Starbucks outlet in Klang Valley.
Each time I enter this Starbucks, an extremely relaxed feeling gushed through me...  Being 1 of the first during the morning, its like I almost have the outlet to my own.. hehe.

They are currently having the latest promo of Asian Dolce Latte, which is ending in a week's time... It has a coffee flavor not too strong, and complemented well with taste that comes from the Dolce syrup.

For those who frequent Starbucks, having a Starbucks tumbler is worth the investment in 1, as each of your drink will get a RM2 discount, which works out to about close to about 15% off (depending on size that you order).

Yummy Asian Dolce Latte from Starbucks... Price : RM14 (regular price of their Grande size)

The below pictures speaks of how cosy this Starbucks outlet is..

Ought to credit the friendly staff, which attends to customer promptly, and with their friendly service.

Haikara Style Cafe & Bakery @ SS16, Subang Jaya

A year ago, I was recommended to this cafe owned by Japanese which is located within walking distance from Subang Parade, and finally get to try it few months back. Located just below E-Tiara service apartment (if ain't sure of location, look out for Subang Avenue which is just next to it).

This is what to look out for

Lots of green to greet customers

Haikara gave me a warm and cosy feeling as I stepped inside.

Charcoal Strawberry Roll

Cheesecake

Had their home made mushroom soup. It was ok.

The chef puts high importance in choosing only the purest and best for its raw ingredients, including some homemade tomato paste for pasta... Had the Fisherman Style Tomato Pasta, (the original calls for Spicy, which can be requested for otherwise), which carries a slight sourness in its paste. Overall, decent fulfillment to appetite.

"Fisherman Style" Spicy Tomato Pasta. Price-RM26.90

Another pasta dish that we had was the Seafood Pasta. With enough garlic and herbs used, the pasta was fragrant with the ingredients used.

Seafood Pasta. Price-RM19.90

Frankly, we were looking forward more to the dessert. So we had what caught our eyes earlier..

The Charcoal Strawberry roll was dense, and like the freshness of cream with strawberry.

Liked the slight burnt sugar on top of the cheesecake, and it has just the right texture and creaminess to it.

Boasting roasted coffee from Brazil, Columbia, Tanzania, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Sumatra, Kenya, the meal wouldn't be complete without a cup of coffee.

As I liked the ambiance, I will return for the coffee and pastries, however, not so much the main meal.

Gerai. The Food Loft @ Setia Alam, Shah Alam

Hang out with Glenies a while ago, and she suggested this simple local dish restaurant that opened at Setia Alam. When she said, its called 'GERAI'... I thought 'I bet its not the normal hawker stall, just couldn't wait to check it out'.

The restaurant has a very simple deco, and carries 1 important element - was really clean.. As you enter some restaurant, you know you are there for either their ambiance, or you wouldn't mind a really simple one in terms of deco, as long as they serve good food, and clean. So, I suppose that Gerai falls in to the 2nd category.

Inside of Gerai

I was having a slight difficulty when going through the menu, as there were quite a few dishes that caught my eyes. They have all the local dishes that one would like to have, including pan mee, curry noodle, nasi lemak etc.

I felt like a bowl of curry laksa, so opted for that. I liked the color of the curry, not too red, with a light curry color... The bowl of curry has all the complete ingredients with hard boiled egg, fish cake, chicken, taufoo pok, cockles... I like the curry richness, and the overall taste that isn't too spicy.

Gerai Laksa. Price-RM6.50

I tried a little of the dried chilli pan mee. Though chilli pan mee isn't one of my favorite, thought it has just the right flavor.

Dried Chilli Pan Mee. Price-RM6.50

Anyone that knows me would know that fish cake is one of my absolute favorite. I would have fish cake / fish ball, any time, and wish there is a fish ball buffet.. haha..
There is a slight crisp of the skin covering the fish cake, and though it lacks just a little 'springy-ness', overall it did satisfied my tastebud. .This plate of fish cake is really worth paying for, as the 4 generous size of fish cake cost only RM4.90 (1 slightly bigger size fish cake cost around RM6 at another restaurant that I frequent).

Fish Cake. Price-RM4.90

Overall, Gerai is just the kinda place one would choose to visit for goodness of the good old hawker fare, that can be enjoyed more comfortably.

It's nice to know that I can count on 'Gerai' to offer me good quality food at the right pricing, the next I am around Setia Alam area.

Cielo Dolci @ Paradigm Mall @ Kelana Jaya

Paradigm Mall seemed to be one of the most talked about new mall in town.

As curious as the others, I was there with Cass a week plus after its opening, and spotted this new gelato place... Cielo Dolci, love the Italian name which translates to sweet heaven.. Who mind to end up in sweet heaven? Hehe..

The menu board that represents 'heaven'..

The sales person graciously offer us small scoop of the gelato for sampling. Both Cass & I immediately fell in love with the durian flavor, and the next natural thing to do, is to order..

Who can resist not having at least 1 scoop, after looking at these?

The prices range from 1 scoop to 5 scoops... We opted for 2 scoops at RM15.80. Well, as both scoops fitted in this small cup, thought the price is considered high. Despite that, it doesn't stop us from enjoying this super creamy natural tasting gelato.

Durian flavor tasted really yummy, however, the salted caramel tasted a little too sweet for our taste bud (despite it tasting fine when taken in sampling scoop).

2 scoops of gelato. Price-RM15.80

Cass & I, about to enjoy our dessert

Some answers as to why Cielo Dolci is so good...

Coco @ SS15, Subang Jaya

Bubble tea frenzy continues.. For those that may be keen to know what are the bubble tea brands available in Malaysia, one should go around shoplots near to Inti at SS15, and chances are, you will get to see majority, if not all the bubble tea players in Malaysia.

1 of the latest player in town is non other than Coco, which originated from Dansui, Taiwan. This outlet at SS15 is their 1 and only outlet in Malaysia, at present.

Coco does distinct itself by having a cafe concept with its 1st outlet and I super duper love the ambiance. Extremely cosy seating area, and just the kinda place I like to chill in. Of all the Coco outlets (this is the 837th outlet internationally), this is the 1st with this cafe concept.

From far, one can't missed the cute cartoon face, with 2 big eyes, representing Coco.

Coco logo - CUTE..

Got so excited when I entered "Coco".. Feel like taking picture everywhere. Love the really cute blue mascot.

Selina & I. A picture with the mascot is a MUST.. hehe..

I love the different parts of Coco, that comes with different sets of furniture. Sit at different part of Coco, and you will get a slightly different feel, with its raw wall and wall pasted with artificial grass..

A look inside Coco

Pathway to the rest room.. Cool...

Oh! So am I more excited about the ambiance, than the drink?? Not so the case.... in fact I tried it when I was in Shanghai last year, and I absolutely fell in love with the drink called '3 Brothers'.

And by the time I post this, I've came to Coco (and so I'm blogging from Coco, now....) a total of 4 times.

1st visit - I had the Mango Yakult drink - definitely a drink for the Mango and Yakult lovers. The taste of Yakult flavor is apparent as they use 2 whole bottle of Yakult in the drink.

Taken during my 1st visit

2nd visit - I had the 3 Brothers. This drink will surely fills your stomach, as it is Milk Tea that combines Pearl, Grass Jelly and Pudding. Love the pleasure all this 3 gives to my tastebud as Pearl has this chewy taste (I extremely like the texture of Coco's Pearl), aromatic Grass Jelly and the Pudding that is so smooth..

Price- 3 Brothers. Price-RM6.90

Taken during my 2nd visit, with SK

3rd visit - I had the Bubble Gaga. This is the Passion Fruit tea with Pearl and Coconut Jelly. Passion fruit is a taste you either like or dislike. I love the refreshing taste the passion fruits gives, with its sourness.

Taken during my 3rd visit - with "quite" a poser, Mr Tot0 (a name that one will surely remember.. hehe)og

"Now we are friends"

Toto, me and Selina - posing with our own favorite drinks

4th visit - Selina and I shared drinks. We had the Cream Green Tea with Pearl and Fresh Milk with Grass Jelly. Of all the 4 visits, this 2 are my top favorite. The cream that comes on top of the Green Tea separate itself well, and the texture is extremely smooth. With its slightly salty taste made from their own recipe, makes you wanting for more. I also like the idea that they gives you this small plastic knife to cut the cover, so that you can take good sip, starting from the cream, up to the tea. I was also pleasantly surprised with the aromatic Green Tea flavor of this drink.
As for the Fresh Milk with Grass Jelly, yummy too!! The aromatic of the brown sugar used in the Grass Jelly is apparent and its goes so well with the milk.

Fresh Milk with Grass Jelly. Price-RM6.90 and Cream Green Tea Pearl. Price-RM6.90
(RM1 is for the Pearl. They are now having their April promotion, and is only priced at RM3.50)

What else should I try next??? Hmm..
